Which gender?
I'm not breeding snakes, just looking for a single BP as a pet. Is one gender better than the other?

Nope, but if you want something smaller you should go with a male and if you want something a little bigger you should go with a female.

Re: Which gender?
do u ever notice a difference in the way males feel from females? my male is very muscular and hard all the time, my female has muscle but shes just is more relaxed and softer all the time. maybe she's just more comfortable around people
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

My male Mojave is the smooshiest-feeling snake I own. I think it's more about how relaxed they are (he's ULTRA-mellow) than gender.

If you want a beefier snake, get a female. I wish I started off with a female.

alot of people say that, then couple months later their asking about building a rack lol.
if you honestly just looking for a pet, normal males are cheap as it gets.

This person is right, for example I'm guilty as charged. They're very addictive, lol!!!

Re: Which gender?
Lol, I bought my first BP back in april this year. I now have 6 and am working on building my second rack that will hold up to 18 sub-adults, and have hopes to breed them next year . If you are just looking for a pet, normal male is the way to go. Make sure you go to a show or get it from a breeder. Pet stores overcharge like crazy!
