With genetics its pretty much hit and miss... so if you have a pastel and spider that produce all bees one year you might get all pastels the next... so I would say if they happen still keep a bee and sell the parents... I know if you have a breedable spider female you could easily get 600-800 for her... and I agree about producing your own albinos and pied... I too have sets of hets for both... and can't wait to breed them... hope this helps

I would disagree in selling the parents if you are growing your collection and are planning on continuing having projects. You can always use females when your breeding. It depends on how big you want your collection and where you want to make your cash. If you do sell your spider female and get 800 for her. If later on down the road you need a spider female you will have to start from scratch or spend the cash and hope you get a female that is ready to breed or can breed. Some snakes will not breed for you and thats why they are for sale. You have to be careful.

As far as hets go, I would be very very very very careful where you buy them. Make sure you get them from a reputable breed and that doesn't always guarantee they are truely hets. You than run the chance of never producing the gene. I have a pair of het albinos from my breeder, I'm not too worried because I spent $75.00 for the pair because I'm a regular customer with him and $75 is not bad if they don't product for me. Just be careful.

Its true... but you have to look at what you get from them first before selling them... so if you get a female bee you might just want to keep the female spider until you get your bee to breeding weight... this way you can still produce but once you have your replacement in place you can purge your collection with less mouths to feed and less money spent... unless you produce your own food... just a lot of varibles that go into it... just make sure you think everything through and know what you want... if you pm me I know a guy in cali that has a good rep and only produces albinos and hets and I could get you his contact info if you would like... you could also think about getting a female spider and trying to find someone who is selling hets too that they are willing to make a good deal on you with... just some options

since your just starting with getting your collection started I think the pastel spider route is your best bet. Not only are they going to be some of the cheaper snakes, they are also base morphs and you will get all morphs when breeding them together. And then if you get your bee you can sell the mom and dad off and just have the 1 mouth to feed as well, but still the double deadly genes.

So you sell mom and dad, then what? Sit stagnant for the next two seasons waiting for the bee to mature? Then breed that to what? No offense, but if it's too troubling to feed three mouths, then maybe that person should not be breeding?

I do agree with the Pastel and Spider being a great starting point though (in fact, these were my first two BP's). They are less expensive than most morphs and are very rewarding when bred together. keep the parents though! You can never have too much pastel or spider in your rack!

lol imo i would get female pastel and female spider and breed my cinny to both them and my normal get a better chance at getting something just incase you crap out on bees or even spidercinnies

go with cinnamon x mojave = Savanahs. They are underrated and beautiful. Or if you want to work with a fun project, buy a het rex axanthic (co-dom) x Cinnamon = Gargoyles.

im a little confused on the het red axanthic thing would i still have to go through all the mess of breeding until i get two cinnamons het for red axanthic or will just that one breeding of Cinnamon X HRA make the gargoyle?
