They are very nervous and scared when they are young. Make sure to get your snake on a good feeding schedule, at least 6-8 good meals before you really begin handling.

Re: My baby ball is trying to eat me LOL

he has to adjust and learn u r not a threat. move slowly and u wont scare him. all he sees is a big heat source moving around and it prolly scares him cuz ur so big. eventually he will come around. if hes hungry hell strike at u like that too. my snakes are a lil over a yr old and my normal is very calm, my pastel still needs some work but he is getting better.
A room full of empty racks and thermostats that have been unplugged.

This is common if not expected behavior when they are that young. They are very small and everything seems huge to them, and here you are with your giant hand and arm which is also emitting heat digging around and moving stuff around. It's all quite strange to them.

With proper care it won't take long at all for it to grow out of that phase and get more comfortable.

my 2 newest do the same thing rember they are still basically wild animals and when they are young other animals eat them so they are just trying to scare you off from eating them.

i got 2 green tree pythons who use to strike at me every time they saw me but both had a not so good shed so had to take them out there cages and put them into one that holds higher humidity and they never tried biting me even when they crawled off there perch onto my hand while moving them to the shedding cages. it's taken 6 months to get them to that tame though and was only touching me for maybe a minute at most
i just like to argue and get you riled up dont take it to mean i dont like you or what I'm agueing about. I'm doing it for the joy of argueing dont anybody like good old fashion debates
