Re: Mouse gut bursts during feeding.
That's a first for me, I've never had that happen, but then again i feed live. Sounds really messy

Yeah, it happens occasionally. It's typically when I leave the thawed rodent under the heat light to warm up just a little too long. I actually just had this happen with a large rat I fed to one of my breeder female bp's yesterday. Made for one heck of a clean up, both snake and tub - smell's still not entirely gone... >_<

Re: Mouse gut bursts during feeding.
I had the most spectacular explosion of mouse guts the second time I ever fed my BP...I swear it looked like a horror movie. It still happens every now and again, usually from overheating with the heat lamp (as the poster above said) or when the mice have been in the freezer a while. It's gross, but it doesn't seem to bother my snake at all, and sometimes I think he even goes faster for the ones that are leaking guts!
1.0 normal BP - Smaug
1.0 sunkissed corn - Eustace
2.1 entirely abnormal cats - Max, Logan, Guinevere (aka Guinnie)

i've never seen it happen to a live feeder.....
however it could happen if you thaw the feeder out to quickly with the water being to hot
or
the feeder animal has been thawed previously and refrozen and thawed out again.
