Re: Just found out constrictors arent aloud in the Hometown.

I think bats are in there because of the "causing disease among, human beings or domestic animals" part of the dangerous animal description.

You could always right a petition have it signed by as many voting age residents of storm lake as you can and take it to a city council meeting. The City of Edgewater ( where I live) was trying to ban all reptiles, it had already gone thru the first vote and they where going to pass it with the second vote. I wrote a petition, collected signatures and researched the legality of banning all reptiles city wide when the state of FL issues permits for you to have some species. Long story short we (the petition signers and I) won.

Just because your city has the ordinance it doesn't mean you can't get it changed. It just takes a lot of work.

very true~az rattlesnakes were being allowed to be kept by anyone with a hunting license until I pointed out the laws to fish and game. Over an 11 day period of straight communication between myself and two agents they discovered the "logic" behind the laws tho still not sure how a water buffalo is less dangerous than a hedge hog but that's me lol persistence and facts is all I used, as well as going up the ladder when no one would listen
