However, you can't get super pastels from a super pastel, the super pastel parent only passes on ONE copy of the pastel gene, making all offspring fathered (or mothered) by it at least a pastel. In order to keep producing supers, the other parent must also have at least a single copy of the pastel gene. To be guaranteed to produce supers, you must breed two heterozygous (super) animals together.
