    That Was...Special

I know not all snakes are going to strike their prey perfectly, but feeding Yidhra today was amusing at how silly she was. She grabbed the rat hopper by a leg when I offered it on tongs, constricted it. When she was sure it was dead, started to eat it by the leg. Apparently she realized after a few minutes this move was full of fail, spat out the leg, and spent the next few minutes going from head to butt trying to figure out what to eat, and then lost interest. Thankfully, a quick zombie rat dance with the tongs made her strike again, and this time she was smart enough to grab the head and devour it.

I can just hear her going "Hurr Durr, I'ma good snake!"

One of my snake grabbed a live rat by the leg and then coiled it as the rat was screeching and trying to get away. I was so afraid that he was going to bite my snake. Thank goodness the rat died quick and my snake was not bit!

On the rare occasions I feed live, I always use my feeding tongs as a barrier between the rat's mouth and my snake to prevent bites. Just a quick tip

To the OP: Thanks for sharing, they sure are goofy sometimes!
