As I stated above, one problem is that they're housed in my bedroom - and I honestly couldn't live in a room that's 80 degrees 24/7. It would also take a LOT of heat to get it that high, since the house lingers at 66-69 even with the heat on... we turned it off for about 12 hours one day, and the downstairs temps dropped to 56. So I imagine we'd have to run the thermostat at 85 to keep it at 80, and that would cost an arm & a leg.
Wish I could move them into a different room, but unfortunately that doesn't exist as a possibility. Do you think if I ran a space heater near the racks, it would still be comfortable in the rest of the bedroom? It's a pretty big space, about half of the upstairs square footage (maybe 250 sq ft?). I don't know what else to do! Oh, but the dehumidifier is a good idea...
