    Question can you use yesterdays news as a substrate?

    just wondering i got some laying around any help would be nice

    yesterday's, last week's, last month's.....newspaper works well for BP's

    LOL at everyone.

    Yesterday's News is a brand name for pelleted recycled newspaper. They market it for small animals and as cat litter.

    The only thing that would concern me with a snake on yesterdays news is if he swallowed some by mistake. Those pellets swell pretty good when they get wet, and I be afraid of impaction.

    Toxicity no, but swallowing would worry me.

    I don't know about BP's, but we use it for cats at my vet and it swells up pretty good when wet so I would personnally not use it.

    I don't like the look of plain newspaper so I use aspen bedding instead and the absorbing power is good enough for me
