I'm pretty sure you can't produce a bee from a bee X Normal.
Hmmm. I would probably go with a Pastel, Spider, or a cinny/black pastel. You could pick up a mojave too.
I think I would go with a pastel. They make great combo morphs, and are great if you ever plan on expanding your collection. You could have a super in 2-3 yrs.
I agree there is nothing wrong with breeding normals. The only problem is that normal males are hard to get rid of. Unless you plan on keeping all of them. I think a bunch of normal females are a must in ever collection. Well, at least a couple.

Correction, you would have the potential of producing
25% bee
25% spider
25% pastel
25% norm

You definitely can produce a bee from a Normal x Bumblebee. I had two clutches this year of Normal x Bumblebees.... 1 was 4 eggs with 2 spiders, 1 normal, and 1 bee, and the other was 7 eggs with 4 pastels, 2 normals, and 1 bee...

Re: What would you do???
There is a guy in Oklahoma that breeds. Constrictors.com He might be a little expensive, but all of his snakes look really nice. Also check around. The is a Texas Reptiles forum, and a woman in Spring Texas is selling a yellowbelly male, she also has a breeding age pastel pair that is REALLY affordable. I also found a girl that is willing to let me borrow her spider to breed to my super pastel when I'm ready.
good luck! I'd get a bumblebee if you can afford it, a lot of fun color combos can come out of that.

Re: What would you do???
I'm rather fond of Mojaves...breed a Mojave male to your normal female, hope for a female Mojave...and down the road, once she's big enough, breed back in hopes of a Super. !!!
Or anyways, that's what I'd do. I'm cutting out the middle man though by having recently bought a female Mojave, lol. Fingers crossed for whenever she's big enough!
1.1 Mojave BP ("Caffè Macchiato;" name pending)

0.1 Spider BP (name pending)

1.0 Dumeril Boa ("Julien")
0.1 Super-Dwarf Reticulated Python ("Temperance")

Re: What would you do???
With a 2 foot female, you likely have at least 2 more seasons to figure out what you're going to breed to her. By then, there will be MANY, MANY males that will be $200 or under.
