Adult 2-headed snakes are really a wonder to see. Imagine what this guy would look like as an adult!
I was just thinking back to my childhood, when I remember the Academy of Sciences (San Francisco) had a two-headed snake... can't recall what kind, but I think it was a garter snake or something similar. I saw that snake at the museum for YEARS, and it was already a full-grown adult the first time I noticed it. I'd have to research how long it eventually lived, but it seems they can thrive into adulthood. Good luck with this one, and I look forward to seeing updates!

    Ah, here we go... http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/...entry_id=39298

Seems it was a Pacific Gopher Snake, who lived over 22 years! And apparently I wasn't the only one enthralled by it, as the writer of this article said it was their favorite exhibit too... I always ran to that snake the second we arrived at the museum. Anyway, this is a good sign for the OP's snake, especially when you see the X-Ray similarities - almost identical structure, from what I can tell.

Re: 2 headed ball python eating

Any new updates, how is the snake doing? Hope it's doing well and thriving for you. Yes I would have put it down or offered it to someone else who would be more likely to take better care of it, but that's regardless, you kept it alive and I'm glad to see it's healthy for you. Do you foresee any issues with shedding?
