    Rather than just getting a single codom male like a pastel, I'd get a male you'd rather plan to keep in your collection. A double codom or a codom het.

    Bumble bees, pewters, lemon blasts, etc.

    Keep in mind that selling a male after breeding a female is something a lot of people do. Its not necessarily a good time of year to move low-value males..
