Re: Cinny ringer? Picture request to help me through this troubling time.

I had a spider come out of the egg this year with a bunch of umbilicus still left hanging from his lower half, much like the pictures you posted. 3 days on moist paper towels and he was completely fine. He's still doing fine and has recently shed. I wish you the best of luck with her and I think IMHO that she'll be fine. Good luck sir.

Best of luck we'll be keeping our fingers crossed for her.

We had a hatchling with two knots in its cord this year, didn't get any yolk before it came out at all. He didn't shed with the rest of the clutch, but he started eating with them. He finally shed about a month after hatching by which time he had pretty much already caught up to his siblings weightwise.

They are hardy, I think she'll pull through as well.

Re: Cinny ringer? Picture request to help me through this troubling time.

I found her this morning laying with 2/3 of her body upside down. For the 4th time, I thought she was dead... But sure enough when I opened the tub and moved her she wiggled a little and showed she was still holding on. She was very limp and almost unable to move at all. The two pinkies seem to be completely desolved in her stomach cause I can't even find the lumps from them any more. I got a bigger fuzzy asf (that I know has way more nutrients) and put it in her mouth. she tried to swallow it her self, getting it just to the point where she could close her mouth, but then she gave up and laid on her side and back so I worked the fuzzy down the rest of the way to her stomach. Now again she is to weak to move at all, but is still breathing.

I figure that this is the last thing I will do, as it is no longer in my hands. From here on out she either makes it or she doesn't, on her own. If she just have enough strength to absorb some of the nutrients from that food she just might make it....

Here she is today with after eating the 2 pinks last night and 1 fuzzy asf today:

It's possible that there's something else wrong with her, and in the end there's nothing you can do about it. Certainly you've done all you can do, and then some... but I'm glad to hear she tried swallowing! And I'm still pulling for her.

Oh I have already decided 100% for sure and told her that if she survives she will be a PERMANENT member of my personal collection.... Now her kids on the otherhand, are a different story.

Poor thing. I really hope she makes it, and will be waiting for tomorrow's update... definitely a keeper if she does pull through!
