Exclamation Really? Puppies and Kittens for food? Take a Look

Well I was looking through craigslist for people selling herp supplies cheap and i came across an add titled "Puppies, Kittens, Gerbels, Mice, Rats, Small Birds - $4". I was confused since it was "items wanted". I checked it out and this is what I came across.

    http://burlington.craigslist.org/wan/1845024512.html

I tried finding anything about this "rescue" and couldnt find anything. In their signature it says they are a rescue but in the add it states they are trying to run a lab.

In my opinion if this is at all true, it is awful. I think it gives herpers a bad name. Why feed puppies and kittens to their herps when rescues usually get a discount from supplies and when bought in bulk, frozen rodents can be very cost effective. And if they wanted to save more money since they are supposedly a rescue wouldn't they breed rats, and maybe sell the extra for some profit for that animals.

What do you guys think? Im going to write them an email. Oh and they are using pictures without giving any credit to the ones that took the pictures. I've seen them all over google.

I think it's just out there to give herpers a bad name. A hoax. It's a troll, looking for people to become outraged and send nasty mail.

There is no such organization as Central Vermont Reptile Rescue, Inc. Nor does Reptile Rescue International, Inc. appear to exist.

    P.S. I'm sure it was a hoax.

No. But why would someone feed dogs and cats to their herps when there are other feeders readily available. And to feed dogs and cats would just put more unneeded bad attention on us herpers. As if we dont have enough on our plates. Just like that one ridiculous petition on change.org which stated that most herp keepers feed stray dogs and cats to their snakes.
