you're at work and you pull out a calculator to see how many more hours you will need to be able to buy that new morph.

you make up horrible excuses not to go on outings, simply because you'd rather save your money for a new snake.

you always hated winter, but ever since you got into balls, it's your favorite season because you get to breed your snakes.

you feel a little guilty every time you peep on your snakes during breeding season, but do it every chance you get.

people ask "Why Snakes?", you can't really think of anything else to say than "They're sooo cool", and you can tell the other person isn't impressed, but you don't give a crap what they think because you know that ball pythons are so much more than cool.
