    Re: Hidden gene lesser????

    I saw a post somewhere that I understood to say that the normal looking "hidden" gene carriers (what you would have to breed to a lesser to produce eggs each with 25% chance of being platy) where being sold in Europe and relatively reasonable priced. I don't recall seeing them sold in the US at all at any price. But I had heard of a few platy being hatched in Europe last year and I thought even one in the US outside of RDR’s collection so the gene is out there somewhere. Just with it apparently looking completely normal you would have to buy from a source you trusted to both be honest and to understand how to keep track of it.
