    With 3 stepsons I can relate to that, where the IKEA bins I bought for them that are meant for that did last more than 6 months with them throwing toys in them or leaving them half opened with a lot of weight in them.

    But I open and close the snake bins no more than 3 times a week for water change/feeding/cleaning and I do it more gently than a kid would. I have been using them for about 3 months and they still look brand new.

    I'm not saying it's the best system, but the ones I picked and the way I use them works for me. It's also not 1 rack with 5 drawers, but 5 individual drawers that are stackable. It's somewhat more stable than the plastic rack.
