It has been suggested that it was incubation related..
Re incubation - they were @ 89.1f for 59 days before hatching - i'd be inclined to look at that more closely except all the other eggs in before/at the same time hatched totally as expected.

Others have suggested a hidden gene.

Mum looks fire-ish, the pic of her is her in heavy slough but she has nice bluching, nice yellow markings and a fire look to her.

Certainly something to play with. I'll keep a male to put back to mum at the very least.

You would have to have some kind of visual snake to make it a codom or dominate gene and a pair of hets to make it a simple recessive(which is very slim odds you lined up hets from two different blood lines on accident). Also, hidden genes normal take other morph genes to play out. On the other hand, if it is a hidden gene, you are well on your way to making some nice crosses though. Congrats and good luck.

Like I say - i'd have agreed if the other eggs on in their inc' carpets and the first clutch of royals on the same shelf hadn't hatched as normal/expected. Also the thermometers are recording ones - they show very little fluctuation

I'll keep a male and breed him back and see what happens then..

Re the hidden gene thing - she looks like shes got 'something' but its not too evident on photos - a bit like adult fires don't photograph too well. Thats why I bred her with a pastel rather than a normal - to see what came out lol.

The non Pastel babies do not look like Fires, and the Pastel babies do not look like Pastel Fires, so I doubt mom is a Fire or Fire related animal. Based on the pictures, I would be inclined to say some sort of wicked Granite, but mom really does not show signs of being a Granite. The fact that all of the babies are oddballs might be a fluke, or it might mean someone is a Super of some sort...which I doubt by the look of the mom. Might have been luck that they all came out oddballs. I would hold them all back, and breed a male Pastel cross back to mom to see what happens. They look like striped granites.....

Amazing babies keep them all if you can. I like them alot you might have something going there.
