Re: Egg Candling
Yep, albinos are definitely the easiest. I also have a pin x sable clutch going. They seem pretty easy to tell as well. I am pretty positive that I have three pins. Not sure if I hit the cross though. I am hoping to be able to tell on my pied clutch in a couple weeks. I would think they should be pretty easy as well.

I'm at day 37 and can see plenty of movement in some of the 9 towards the bottom half. Could swear I saw some pattern too

The eggs were still nice and plump, had nice veins, and wiggly worms! I could make out the morphs inside if they pressed against the egg just right.
Its now day 60 and they've grown a good bit. Though... They still haven't pipped
Good luck! It may just take a bit longer for your guys and gals as well.
Sorry not sure how to edit a post. I just wanted to share that one in my clutch just pipped, so we cut the other eggs. We candled them first. They still appeared less than 1/2full, but the babies are big! I wouldn't worry.

In another few days you should be able to see the pattern pretty easily. Make sure the room you are in is pitch black.

These guys are the easiest IMO to see from candling because they have no dark coloration.
Maybe thats why some of mine looked all glowy, the pairing was het albino to het albino, so maybe they're albinos! I'm gonna go with that.
