    Congratulations! The window that you have his tank by - does it get direct sunlight? I'd caution about allowing direct sunlight (especially in the summer) come in on a glass tank. It can get very, very hot quickly.

    I have a backing on it now, and the ambient inner temp never raises above 84 degrees. The other rooms of the apt are worse.
