Clean is important this is true. Thats why most of us use plastic bowls and if you use leaves and vines just get plastic and you can rinse them in hot water if they get dirty. You also dont need any special bedding. For a small hatchling its recommended that you simply use a few layers of paper towels or news paper. Its easier to clean, no worry of the snake ingesting bedding and you can monitor its "potty" when it goes on paper. To be sure everything is normal and healthy.
One more thing. Any plants and vines you get to fill and clutter the tank make sure you check them well and cut off any plastic loops in the stems. These sometimes have small loops for hanging purposes. You want to cut them so the snake cant get stuck in the hole of the loop. This happened to member here and she realized those loops need to be cut open or off.
When it grows into the tank you simply go down to 2 hides, proper water bowl and maybe a plant or 2.
