    Re: is this a lavender?

I don't know from experience, but i hear the lavender color starts showing up after a year. Again this is what i have heard, so i could easily be wrong. My lavender is still young, but i can assure you he has had more than 5 sheds and there is no lavender in him yet. I'm pretty sure Ralph Davis talks about lavenders in a few of his vids. You should go check them out

    Re: is this a lavender?

thnx for the replies guys. although the opinions are different im still pretty confident that this is a lavender, it just sucks that the colloration of a young animal makes it look like a regular albino. maybe i should just wait till saterday and see for myself i hear that the colors are hard to capture on camera.

How old is your lav? I have a few that are getting close to a year old but they are only showing a little of the lav color so far.

I say lavender Just looks like one. They are hard to photograph, I had a beautiful purple albino tiger retic who is much darker purple than a lavender albino ball and it was almost impossible to get her color to show on camera. Plus the Lav albino balls take a while to get it and they can look so different from one another.

My lav is a late 09. So around 6 months old. He hasn't showed any signs yet, but he does get nicer with each shed. I can't wait until the lavender starts coming in, but from what i've heard it usually starts around 1 year old.

    Re: is this a lavender?

Hello Matt and Eddie! Gosh you guys! They are lavs and you want to know how you can tell? The eyes... Think about the difference in eye color of rats. There are blue with ruby eyes. Blue with pink eyes etc.. They are more of a deep ruby color than the pink eyes of regular albinos. Plus the overall color hues of the white and oranges are very vivid. The thin outline around the orange. The bright whites. The faded head. All signs of a lav to me and thats what those snakes look like
