Re: My New Car!
Great car! I rented a '07 Altima for a road trip several years ago, and it was a very very nice car. Really impressed me, I'm sure you're going to love it! Congrats.

Ah I'm sorry to hear that!

My parents have always had Nissans and love them! They had an Altima but got a Maxima the last time, and a Nissan truck. My dad still doesn't accept that I'm a VW person and keeps trying to talk me into an Altima for my next car I know you'll love the car!
My family is a definite Nissan family. We've had Nissan's since the '80's - every car I've owned (save one) has been a Nissan. I mean, I look at other cars, and when I do a side by side comparison with Consumer Reports, any other car I have the slightest interest in gets completely anhialated by the comparable Nissan in safety, maintenance, reliablity and consumer satisfaction.
In fact, last night when I was talking to my folks during the process and mentioned maybe getting a Mitsubishi Galant over the Altima, and they were on separate extentions on the phone and they both said "NO!!!!" at the same time! LOL

Re: My New Car!
Altima's are a nice car. And they have more muscle than other cars in their class. My wife drives a 2001 Xterra. I bought it brand new at the dealership on 01/02/01. My wife was mad at me for doing it but came to love it. Last year it developed a head gasket leak. I had that changed and had them replace the timing belt at that time. This Xterra still looks new. It helps that the body style hasn't really changed in 10 years. Aside from that it has not had any trouble. I would either buy an Altima or a Chevy Malibu if I were to buy a new car now.

I bought two brand spankin new fords an f-150 and a f-250. Huge mistake My truck is worth $10,000 less then when we got it not sure on the 250. I will never buy new again unless I buy a luxury car, then I don't want the funk from some other commoner in my coach.
