We have a rabbit breeder that we go to. And he calls me as soon as a litter is born and I go pick them up. Also if he has any baby rabbits that die when born he freezes them for me and I get those also. A newborn rabbit isnt much larger then a small rat. Nost of them we gas and freeze because 98 percent of our snakes eat f/t but we do have a few hardheads that will only except live. I love all animals and the rabbits are cute and everything but the breeder I get them from raises all his rabbits for food either snake food, human food or dog food so there just part of the food chain I know it can seem cruel but so can watching a baby snake starve

Yes I completely understand that, if I had to choose to let a snake starve or feed a rabbit I would choose to feed the rabbit. Im just a little bit more attached to rabbits than I am rats or mice since I have six and ive raised my own litter before.

Have you tried putting him in newspaper?

Do you have any idea what substrate he was in? not in the Sanctuary, but in the Texas building.

I'm guessing since he was in a neglected place like that, he was probably in newspaper...

I get attached to the rabbits that have spots or coloring on them. The albino ones with the red eyes and solid white they kinda creep me out a little lol

Most likely, but I don't think a change in substrate will do much. I think it could have been from all this stress from the seizure to being in a large tub and with being with another Burm. Lotta withs there.

I tried checking the sex of the Burm and is sort of got mad and bit my stomach.. Not sure why some snakes get so mad when you pop em. And I did not do it incorrectly, I've done it so many times I know what to do.

I would put him in a small dark container with a rat pup. Leave him someplace undisturbed overnight and see what happens.

I had a ball that didn't eat for a long time. I changed it's substrate from newspaper to cypess mulch, and it started eating again for me. I don't know if this would help with the burn, but it's worth a shot. Good luck.

two gloved fingers on the edges of his mouth and open that sucker up and put a sliced head baby rat in there, F/T of course....It's like they go "oh yea those taste good" and they will swallow the rest.
