Having a ringer in ball python terms can vary. The ringer can be a faded color ring around the tail, to actually having a small white band around the tail. Not all ringers carry the piebald gene, but some do.

    Re: Ringer?

Here are a couple examples of ringers. The first one is a Fire ringer. It was produced by Steve Roussis and every Fire in the clutch was a ringer, this one was probably the most extreme. He's fathered several Fire offspring but no ringers to date.

This next one is probably the most extreme ringer I have ever seen. It was produced by Brock Wagner from champagne x normal breeding.

No problem. It's really cool to see the different levels of ringer, and it makes a really good example for everyone to see the different levels.

Quick questing, does a ringer really mean the animal might be het pied? I've never heard that before. I doubt my guy is, but that'd be cool.
