    New Pastel ate f/t pup!

Well, we picked up a new September '09 1.0 pastel last week. He was only feeding on live mice. Tonight, a week later, he ate a f/t rat pup! It was pretty cool!

I'm pretty used to the power that the 1300 gram girls hit with. This little 165 gram pastel was strong for his size, but seems kinda wimpy--but in a cool way! It was definitely cool!

When feeding newly hatched babies, can rat pinkies be used, or are those too big?
Lots of BPs, and still not enough!

Congrats on getting him to switch. Usually it isn't to hard to get them to switch when they are young. As far as size All my hatchlings get mouse hoppers there 1st 2 meals then they are swtiched to rat pups never had any problems you could try rat fuzzy's if you think pups are to big.
