I saw that movie in theaters a few months ago and I said the EXACT same thing when I first saw Medusa. I actually whispered very excitedly to the person next to me that those were ball pythons!! By far the highlight of the movie! (I really disliked it; but then again, that's not saying much, as I am a big fan of The Odessey, and all in all a major movie critic.)
