    The only time I've ever seen an especially agressive female was when she was sitting on a clutch of fresh eggs.

    IMO, it really depends on the individual snake -- there are always exceptions to the rule, ones that follow them to the T and ones that are in the middle.

    My best friend's got a pastel male that strikes and hisses at anything that moves. He's been like that since he came out of the egg, and is aptly named "Chompy." He's got another pastel male that's as calm as still water.
