My only concern with ever getting bit, would be harming the snake ....not in the I'm going to purposely hurt it thump it on the head way ... but if you pull away ,isn't there a possibility of removing some of it's teeth? And can that lead to infection?

Is this actually something to be concerned about or am I being overly paranoid? Which has been known to happen once or twice..
