    Re: Vision Hatchling Rack

I would reccomend the hatchling rack from reptile basics myself. They are quality racks and Rich has top notch customer service.

    Re: Vision Hatchling Rack

I don't have the hatchling rack but I do have the V-70 & V-35 racks and like both of them. One thing I do like about the VP hatchling rack is the tub size. I don't like 6qt tubs, JMO, I like the Vision tubs. I build my own hatchling racks but order my tubs from Vision.

    Re: Vision Hatchling Rack

I dont have hatchling racks becasue the tubs are too darn small. I think about it this way. What if you have babies for 6 months? Babies are ferocious eaters and get big fast. Shoebox is the smallest I go with tubs. Before you consider getting hatchling racks ask yourself how many babies you plan to have and how long you can keep them if they do not sell right away. Then you will know what size you should get.

I agree and disagree...it's according to your situation, like you said, but babies is tubs too big can easily cause stress which leads to refusals. The Vision tubs are 18x7.5x3.5 I think...this is a decent size tub but not too big. Balls can easily stay in them up to 600-700g if need be. I definately wouldn't get a hatchling tub unless I was planning on breeding every year.

    Re: Vision Hatchling Rack

I have a huge Vision hatchling rack, and I love it. The tubs are the perfect size. I was able to keep baby balls in them until they were 500 grams, but I had no problems with starting the babies, because the tubs and long and narrow. There's also plenty of room to add a hide, and the little plastic dishes you can find at Target fit into the bins perfectly (they are bowls that double as hides, nice and smooth and easy to clean).
