Re: this made me physically ill (yahoo news article)
I'm not so much mad at this guy for doing it... Just dumbfounded on how someone would come up with an idea like that. People amaze me.
It sounds like he's mentally unstable. Hope the snake is ok.

Hi,
It's short for hetrozygous - have a read through this genetics post and it should get a bit clearer, and also this one on the various abrevitions we tend to use a lot.
Hope that helps a bit,

I think that Kimberlys last name tripped the automatic censor filter as being a bad word. It happens from time to time. It can be kind of amusing sometimes like when I'm on the bird forum talking about my sons Cockatiels I have to remember to use a nickname like 'tiels (hehe, it worked this time, they must have fixed it...)
It sounds to me like the young man with the snake has some serious psycological problems and would probably benefit by being removed from society for a time to determine if he poses a threat to others or to himself.

I must admit when I first started reading this I imagined the weirdo swinging a snake over his head and smacking the other guy in the face with it =P

this is the type of stuff that helps in society's irrational fear of reptiles, especially snakes. People like that give all of us a bad image and all it does is hurt the good owners and the industry.

I google'd the article. Kimberly's last name rhymes with "kick", starts with a "D". Also is a nickname for Richard.
