    every time!!

every time i clean my normals tub she feels it is necessary to go in there and make some kind of over-sized-bodily-function-mess!! im sick of it. its time for snakey diapers. if any of u have a snake that wont poop or pee just clean their tub and u will release the flood gates of your snakes cloaca!!

i was having the same problem. I found that when i soaked my bp she took a poop and pee (in pretty frantic fashion) before darting to the other side of the tub. Helped since it was one less that she stunk up her tank with

I think it might actually be caused by the cleaning. I don't know how, but they just seem to do that to us. Maybe all the movement just makes 'em gotta go?

One time I had just cleaned out all my tubs and tanks before I was going away for a long weekend when I take one last walk by my male kingsnake before walking out the door just to observe him against the side of the tub literally defecating in my general direction on the plastic.

Haha I clean (change the paper towels and water) once every 4-5 days and I only clean when they go #1/2. My balls are nice and clean all the time, well until bathroom time comes.

I don't know about you but I'd much rather go in a clean bathroom than a dirty one.

They're holding it on purpose until you clean it up for them!! They are all spoiled rotten and seem to know it, I mean how about the life, lounge around in your snug hide all day, have your food hand (tong) fed to you once a week and know that the minute you make a mess someone will be along to clean it up for you!

    Re: every time!!

yeah happens almost at least once with every cleaning I do. I also had them get worked up ( when I get an inperfect shed) and I worknig the bits off) they are really edgy and end up going on the tile or if I got them i na pillow case all in it.

I only do a shed assist with the black rat since she so old and if they shed every thing but the head area deals since i can have it all worked off in a few minutes if they hold still lol..

the worst one id the boa she wait until you in the middle of cleaning and decid now the tiem to let the nasy smelling ones out. oh man are they ranking. lol My niece almost puked as she was cleaning the cage while I held the bad and she came ut of the cage so fast she didn't think to watch her head she gagging and yelling and on the floor laughing .and the snake looking at us liek what I had to go look.

    Re: every time!!

What is your cleaning schedule? I clean if they've passed urates or poo. I don't go in and just randomly clean one day. Means I'm cleaning different cages on different days, but once it's done, they're good till next time they excrete.
