Maybe.. But Steve Irwin had Bindi around it from the moment she was born. The only time anyone threw a fit was when he took her into an enclosure of crocs during a show. Eh, he knew what he was doing. No one knew those animals better than he.

This show may be a responce to the bad press AP is getting about the fear mongering shows. They are testing it out. Therefore we should ALL be making an effort to watch it. Pass it on and post good comments about it on APs website.

Only the viewers can fix the programming. Here is our chance.

Yes.. uneducated viewers are going to assume everyone with a southern accent is stupid. Those same viewers are the ones that will assume every single snake is poisonous and will get 20 feet long and kill you in an instant. So.. what would you have them do?

Feel good that they didn't get Muffdaddy to represent all herpers.

I thought it was really well done - with education, rather than fear-mongoring.
I know Jason, he lives just south of us here in McDonough. He is a great guy, been friends with him on Facebook for quite awhile, talked to him on the phone a few times and met up with him in Columbia. I watched both of the shows and I think they are really good, very positive info on snakes, a huge change from the other shows out there. Jason wouldn't do anything to hurt the hobby.

ACCENT?? everybody has an accent!! my buddy from Ireland thinks I talk funny. so if it is an accent, he's using proper grammar and that"s all that really matters. i mean i could see if he was double talking and dirty slang. that would be a different story.

I don't know I'll just have to agree to disagree about liking the show. I don't doubt that he's a great guy with the best intentions, it's just how AP presents it.

I've spent my entire life in the south but have been to different countries/parts of the US, people with Southern Accents catch a certain prejudice.
    Hm, most people?
I guess I'm not most people, because I don't judge people by an accent. Also, there's no such thing as 'no accent'. When a southerner listens to a northerner, they hear an accent. When I listen to him talk, he sounds very intellectual and that he knows what he's talking about. His accent is also not as strong as it could be, and he has a good reputation as a cop.

I feel like you're the one being the most judgmental one here more than other viewers so far.

To be perfectly honest some of my opinions were shared by the person who pointed the show out to me, and he has nothing to do with snakes or reptiles in general. This show isn't for snake people, it's for people like my friend who know nothing about them.

And again, I have no problems with Jason, or what he's trying to do. I do see the good in it and I know he's giving good information. I just don't exactly like how AP is presenting it, that's all.

I thought the same thing at first but they did make it a point everytime to say that they only let him/her hold the snakes that were 100% harmless and docile.
