Sigh of relief... she ate

After not eating since the beginning of Nov, my 2 yr old BP shed last week and ate this week. I have resorted to putting the live mouse in her tank to keep the stress level down, and it worked! Just wanted to give hope to those other newer BP keepers that are stressing over the fasting of their snakes.

I'm going to add on to my thread with a question.,

I have been using a red heat lamp directly on top of my screen lid. It seems to have scorched the tank on either side. Not black scorching, but a whitish color. Any ideas of how to get that off? I have turned off the light until I can arrange a way to clip the lamp away from the lid a bit. And the heat is needed until the weather warms up and/or I can get a bigger UTH. Temps are only 75ish without the lamp.

How long has the light been on and is it on all the time? And are in a glass tank?

The lamp was on 24/7 for a few days. I have no clue if the tank is glass or acrylic. Standard locking lid type tank from Petsmart.

Well if it's the reptile style fish tanks with screen locking lid idk how it would heat that glass enough to cause it to discolor or anything.
Is it a substance on the glass or is it a discoloration? If it's a discoloration of the actual subtance melting and then cooling you won't be able to get it off.
Any pics of it?
