Food during shed?
My corn is in the middle of a shed (cloudy eyes). Tomorrow is feeding day. Should I offer food? If not should I wait another week to feed or should I feed right after the shed and change the feeding schedule then.
I am asking this for the obvious reason....because I want to know. But also I do not want to waste a frozen fuzzy. Hoping to get some answers tonight so I know if I should put a fuzzy in the fridge to thaw tonight or not.
Thank you in advance for your replies.

Have you ever skipped a meal during other sheds? Or is this a rather new snake? Is it a baby or older? It should not hurt them to miss one meal though

Sorry. Very new snake for me. Only had him a little over a week. Not a baby but not full grown yet either. I was figuring that missing one meal would not hurt and by the time the shed is over it will nearly be feeding day anyways.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Food during shed?
Some snakes will refuse during shed, others will take it during shed. I don't normally feed during shed because of the reason that they can regurgitate it, but that normally has a very low chance of happening.
I've had snakes refuse during shed and others take it during shed. So it varies between snakes, but I normally just feed right after they shed.

All my corns eat during shed. I'd offer it to her and if she takes it great . If not, then now you know for next time.

OK I have decided to try feeding. The main thought I had was I hated the thought of wasting a mouse if he does not eat. But I had the thought today that if George (the corn) does not eat it then I will just give it to littlefoot (the BP) as an extra meal. I think he could use a little extra weight anyways. I will let everyone know if he feeds or not.

Really? I don't remember hearing that regurges are more likely if fed during shed. Just that a lot of snakes will refuse.
