Thanks!
My vet told me today that it takes them a good amount of time for them to get to the full grown adult size. He said it'll take about 5 years or more, unless they were powerfed. So, he guesses that my snake could be anywhere from 5 to 15 years old at the size she's at now. She weighs 6,200g also.
Good luck with your girl, I wanna see pics!

Hopefully she's on a steady road to recovery now
Thank you! She definitely will be recovering in no time. The needles I received for her are pretty big because of her size LOL.

Awsome boa. Now you got me thinking, and I deffinetly don't need any more snakes. Its great that your mom is so supportive. My mom can't stand the snakes but my dad is a completely different story. I wish there were more kids around my age in my area that kept herps. The only person i know is my brother. Hopefully next year in college i can meet at least one person.

My mom is pretty supportive about my snakes but my dad doesn't really mind them.. just doesn't want me to have them in his place LOL.
I definitely wish I had friends around my age who knew about snakes like I did and have their own. Sadly most of the people I know don't really even care to have snakes.

Yeah, I live in a really small town. My graduating class is around 120 . And telling people i own boas, pythons, geckos, and rats, they dont always understand. When my mom tells people that i own these things they give her the exact same reaction. . And the amount of people that think they are venomous or can eat me is ridiculous. I always give a little education whenever i talk about my herps.

LOL that's basically the same how it is for me. Today my cousins saw my big girl for the first time and they were saying, "It can eat your whole arm.." "That thing can eat your leg if it wanted."
They just don't get it.

Haha. Its just society's idea of snakes, and the media, politicians and some "scientists" dont help.

Yeah, I wish people would just understand them more. That's why I like going out with my snakes and telling people about them
