Smaller meals more often on a 5 day schedule will keep him eating throughout the year better and more consistent.

Just limit it to 2 mice a week or a wean rat per week

4 mice for 800grams seems like a lot. How big are these mice? The reason you go to a bigger prey size is because the mice will literally sit in the snakes throat and not get to the belly. I don't know how serious it is though....

Never heard that before either - I fed mice exclusively to my entire collection before I started to breed - raised up babies to full adults on mice, never had the mice sitting in their throats...

I used to feed smaller meals, but I've gradually moved to larger meals for my kiddos, and still get consistently feeding critters.
