I know for a fact my oil filled heaters put off radiant heat as well as heating air directly.

The only downfall I see to this heater is that its digital, meaning you couldnt hook it up to an external thermostat such as a Ranco. The thermostats in these things are notoriously unreliable and temps can vary by quite a bit in a room. Once your Ranco cut the power to this thing and then turned it back on, its be rest and youd be hosed.

Also, be prepared to put this thing on it's own circuit or not to run much else on that same circuit.

1500w=12.5amps on a 120v circuit, which most homes circuits are on a 15 amp breaker.

I'd do some looking into reviews on it, its getting mixed reviews. Just a thought.
