quick question!
if one of my snakes has scale rot, is it wise to have my other snake in the same room? they are on opposite sides, i wouldnt think that scale rot can be transmitted through air...!

Re: quick question!
ok so i just got off the phone with the vet (trying to get a letter from Dr. Stahl saying that the other vet messed up my snakes eye) and i asked a few questions about scale rot. he said i shouldnt worry unless the discoloration on her belly scales turn an irritated pink color. well what i forgot to ask is it looks like the shiny part on her belly is flaking off.. not the whole scale but just the shiny top layer of skin. is this normal!? i wouldnt think so but ive looked at pics of mild cases of scale rot and it doesnt look like lucy has it. i might be over analyzing things but i feel ever since this vet messed (excuse my french) up my snake shes been having major problems.. i cant help but worry!.. its driving me crazy

Call him back and tell him Big Gunns said "what's up"? He'll answer any question you have. Better yet....make an appointment and get right over there. You have no idea who's giving you advice on a forum.

actaully we just came from there about a week ago becaue a previous vet "popped" my poor lucys eye. i just noticed the problem. we're supposed to go back in for a check up on the eye after she sheds. he told me to wait untill then.. i am assuming shell be going into shed in a few weeks. is that too long to wait ya think?
