    Now with that upgraded model it looks like u can only see of the the temps/humidity's at a time and u haveto press a button to switch... now this would mean going into the cage would that not aggrivate the snake

    no you don't need to press a button to see the other temp. Well, you press a button but just once, same as the previous model.

    Why would you need two? It has the exact same functions as the previous unit. The only difference is the design.

    ditto....

    the only thing different with the newer version and the older model are design and battery type. the newer model uses AA and the older model uses AAA batteries.

    but they both perform the same in measuring both warm and cool side temps along with humidity. those plastic prints on the screen are on there to give you some insight as to what the model can do and how it's displayed.

    but there's a button on both models that you press to either view the time or the temp. obviously since i'm using it to measure temps the clock function isn't of any use to me.

    so all you need is one to monitor everything in your enclosure. whether it be the newer model or the older model.

    So i got my acu rite soo much better then my set up from before and accurate thanks guys
