I know this will probably sound like a newb question but what is a sling? Im guessing a baby Tarantula. oh and i held one of them, it was awesome especially considering i have mild arachnophobia

You are right it is a baby tarantula. Short for spiderling And in case you do not know already watch out when you hold the avics because they are poop shooters I had an A. purpurea that almost always shoot poop when bothered. Funny and gross at the same time. Very beatiful Avic though...
