    Re: Question about cleaning tank

Lol I just started handeling mine recently, and it's about the same size as yours. Just watch your snake, it's pretty obvious when they're pissed off or scared. I noticed with mine that petting it down it's back for a few moments calms it right up. Maybe you should try that first. When it's awake, just gently rub down it's back a bit, almost like a little massage. After you get comfortable doint that you can try to pick it up. That's just my advice, but I'm still new to this too so I may be completely wrong lol

    Re: Question about cleaning tank

Yea ill have to try them things and see. Yea sometimes when hes up ive reached in and rub his back haha (With Gloves) . It seems like it aggravates him sometimes but i just leave him along after. Yea hopefully ill end up picking him up soon that way he can start getting use to me. Since i got him hes calmed down ALOT and stays in his hide during the day so i think hes liking his tank. I put a vine in there last night wrapped around a wooden dowel and he played on it for a while so i think he likes that to. Ill try to get some pics of him today that way u all can see him

Out of curiosity, why are you so afraid of handling your snake? So much that you need to use gloves and a hook on a small BP...

Omega45820 - dont feel bad - you are not alone on that one. When I first got my first bp about 2 years ago - I used to get sooo nervous my heart would race and I donned the leather gloves too - I laugh now when I think back to that time because now I know her and her moods and I can just pick her up without any hesitation.

I have recently gotten an RTB - my first and for some reason they look sooo much more ferocious than the bp's so I am back to the racing heart when I think about picking him up - this weekend will be my first attempt.
