4350g is a huge female... Most of them only get up to around 2000g. There are lots of exceptions to that though. Someone posted a video recently and one of the snakes in it was a 5500g female!

If I were you, I'd spend the extra and get a female. That way, if you decide to breed in say, a year or two, you can pick up a male and they'll both be up to size at the same time. But yeah, probably $300-350 is what you'll pay. I've seen people selling 2-3 year old female pastels for $600 -_- Stupid Canadian ball python market....

The female you posted is a bigger girl but eventually they may get like that if they are fed correctly. BP's never stop growing.. They just slow down as they age. So generally you find females between 2-3k grams but the older girls are usually close to 4k grams. (My girl is 2.5k grams and 7 years old for example.)

In Canada, a good quality Male Pastel will run $200 maybe $250. A good quality female Pastel will be closer to $300-$350.

I'll be at the April 25th expo in Missisauga. Can't wait.

I got my male for $170 and I personally think hes a stunning example.

Haha, I'll have enough trouble on the saving part. Teen + Money = Not a good combo. And I doubt I'll even be able to buy anything. I'll really be pushing it with another ball python or another snake for that matter. Possibly a gecko or two.

crested geckos or leos are both pretty cheap!
