I have been doing the same, mine are locking straight off on average 36 hrs, when they are finished I have removed the male..all mine barr one have been mated to two males, I think it increases the odds on a male not doing the job..good luck

I've been pairing my pair every 2ish weeks and if I observe a lock, then as soon as I see that they're no longer locked, I'll pull him. Finding him not locked is the tricky part

I leave them in for 3 days whether or not I see a lock, then pull him. Some males are just fast.
