Shipping a snake takes great care and prep. a breeder will look at temps during transit. The animal is secure and provided with heat and insulation. The shipper will typically ship overnight directly to your door. When having something shipped by a reputable, experience breeder it's no more traumatic than transporting your snake home from the store..Normally..

Awesome. Thanks for letting me know. That makes me feel much better about it then. Now i just need to find a good site. I saw kingsnake.com from an above post but are there any others that people have had good experiences with? Sorry for all the questions. I just want to get a snake the best possible way.

Try to see where the closest reptile show is to you. Ask on craigslist in your area. We have 3 reptile shows in my area, and some local people who are into reptiles are not aware of them. I mainly buy from local breeders. No shipping, You see the snake in person, most offer outstanding support, plus you can get a high quality snake from some of the smaller breeders.
