You can take your pick anywhere between every 5-7 days, whatever works for you. It will affect how fast he grows, but I don't believe there is enough difference that one is "good" and the other is "bad". If you feed every 7 days, you'll want to move up in prey size a little sooner (at least in terms of the snake's size, although it may end up being later in time due to slower growth) because a meal that will keep a 300g snake full for 5 days may not be enough for 7 days.

You seem convinced that every time your snake looks at you (or I think you mentioned the dogs in one post) that it wants to eat you. While it is possible that you have one of the BPs that bites first and asks questions later, those really are pretty rare. BPs are docile snakes. Also, unless the snake was underfed by the breeder you got it from, it just can't have gotten hungry enough in the short time you've had it to be seeing aggression for that reason. It is much more likely that it is curious and somewhat scared.

If you want, when you reach in to change the water or things like that, you can gently tap the snake on its head. This lets the snake know that it isn't dinner time. I bet if you try this, yours will withdraw, possibly balling up, because it is a scared baby, not an aggressive snake.
