Re: Orange Glow & Burst
I've gotta say, that has gotta be one of the most confusing explanations of a gene I've heard yet. With that said, anything that adds orange has to be good in my book! You said some of the offspring don't show the trait, but can pass it on. Is this something that's looking to be recessive or just poly-genetic?

LOL yeh i confuse myself all the time with it, here is the story. . .
The original PD (Orange Gene) was a CH that didnt show any orange. When bred to others some babies came out looking orange and some didn't. The Orange glow came from a PD Pastel x Cinnamon, The Orange Burst was from a PD Granite Het Hypo x Het Hypo Pairing(3 eggs Hypo, Granite Hypo, Orange Burst also Hypo). Neither the PD Pastel or the PD Granite Het Hypo are orange in apprearance but came from the original PD captive hatched female. This season will prove out more on the gene as I have the Orange Glow running to his PD Pastel mother, his PD Pewter sister and an unrelated Cinnamon. This will be the first season we have two PD snake running together. Biggest reason being we didnt know which snakes carried the PD gene since they had no visible orange, and this is the first season the visible ones are of size.
