I think Sables are highly underrated, but they may make a comeback once more combos are done with them.
    Come on....updated pics!
A word of caution - the pastel sable isn't too pretty when it hatches. In fact, I thought I whiffed on that project all together. There was a decent pastel and one ugly looking pastel in the clutch.
I have a problem where I try to keep every snake that I produce.....this time it paid off
After a handful of meals it became apparent that there was sable mixed in. She was ugly when she hatched but has been maturing nicely.
I am very interested to see what a pastel sable pin will look like and how similar it will be to the camo.
    Get it done!

Thanks for the write up Joe. I have seen a couple Pastel Sabels, and I wasn't impressed either. However, I am looking in the future, and what I can do with a Pastel Sable, versus what it looks like on its own. What might a Pastel Super Sable look like, and the whole I think it will be a Pastel Camo thing keeps me going too. I am actually going to get some updated pics in an hour or so.

I agree....it is a breeder's snake. I kind of look at snakes like this as "hets", in the sense that they aren't anymore visually appealing than a normal (not knocking normals) but that they get you to another morph. The pastel sable will prove to be a valuable stepping stone.
The cool thing is that they do get better looking with age. I'm not saying they get pretty or anything but better looking
