Completely true.

A male can mate in a matter of months. A female however should be of a more specific larger size 1200g or better is what I go by. That's for an adult female though.

I have seen prices go both ways for babies however. But for babies Im not sure why females are sometimes so much more, it takes so long to get them to breeding size. It has to do with where you purchase from as well. I find sometimes in my area that the price is by morph and not by sex.
