    not in a 'standard' pied, no...
    the white areas always start from the tail end, and work up

    I like the Lesser Pied but personally I like the Mojave Pieds more being that it has more pattern and the head isn't white.

    is there any pattern on the 'islands' of the mojave or lesser pieds,
    or are the 'islands' a plain colour apart from the outer edge?
